Nov 21, 2021 · Thinkbook is much more similar to IdeaPad than Thinkpad in terms of build quality and keyboard. It's not that bad though, just like how IdeaPads aren't that terrible. But it's going to be difficult to get support or look for replacement parts for it in the future, because there are very little people using thinkbooks as compared to ThinkPads ...

I'm a CS student, so I'm willing to pay that extra for the sake of performance, but is there an actual difference here? The rest of the specs are the same for both cases, 512GB SSD and 8+8GB RAM. Could anyone please help me with this buying conundrum?

Mar 25, 2022 · It’s more of a creator laptop while the thinkpads are more business oriented. I owned a w540 thinkpad before and it was built like a tank. Plus most thinkpads have ethernet ports, my thinkbook hasnt (dongle needed). I would go for a thinkpad T series, they’re the standard for business computers.

Apr 1, 2020 · Thinkbook I had is Core i5-1035G4 with Iris graphics and E14 with Core i5-10210U with UHD. I ran the same 720p video on Youtube on approx the same brightness and settings, all updated drivers and bios, and it drained 10% of battery within 45 minutes vs 57 on thinkpad. Windows forecasts 6 hours vs 7 and a half respectively.
