The CFP rankings received significant shakeup after a string of upsets this past weekend in college football. One of those was Alabama football losing to unranked Oklahoma, who had not defeated an FBS team since September.

Now that he's no longer coaching the team, Nick Saban is apparently done lobbying on Alabama's behalf. The retired head coach said Wednesday on The Pat

"Because (of) their win over Georgia," CFP selection chair Warde Manuel said. "They won against Missouri. They've beat South Carolina and they won at LSU in a dominant fashion. So when you put those four wins against, you know, Mississippi and what they did ... when we compare resumes, that's how we saw it."

Nick Saban gave his thoughts on the recent upsets in the SEC, which included Alabama football losing to Oklahoma.

One large change that was made was the departure of Nick Saban, a legendary college football head coach -- who did most of his work with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The former coach joined ESPN on Wednesday to discuss the College Football Playoff. At one point, Saban floated a hypothetical by asking McAfee what Ole Miss’ record would be if they played in the Big 12. Of course, Saban was implying that the Rebels would have fewer than 3 losses if they didn’t play in the SEC.
