After a long wait, JBL has redesigned its two popular portable speakers, upgrading them with improved sound and battery life. They're available for preorder now.

JBL’s previous Flip speaker, the Flip 6, was released in 2021. The JBL Flip 7 is the smaller and more affordable of the new portable Bluetooth speakers. It looks mostly the same as its predecessor, the 2021-released Flip 6, but JBL gave it a number of under-the-hood upgrades.

JBL has given the new Charge a similar set of enhancements. The speaker now comes with a woven strap that can be used as a carry handle — with each end attached to the built-in lanyard rods — or as a wrist strap, with both ends attached to one end of the speaker.
