Three men have been found guilty in a case of attempted blackmail against Formula 1 great Michael Schumacher’s family.

Markus F, an ex-security guard who worked for the Schumacher family at their residence in Switzerland 18 months before the skiing accident, received a two-year suspended sentence. He was accused of selling the images to the two blackmailers for a five-figure sum.

The family of Michael Schumacher have lodged an appeal against what it feels is a "far too lenient sentence" for one of the defendants found guilty in a blackmail plot.
