As the fight against a massive bushfire north of Perth continues, honey producers have reported devastating losses to habitat critical for their bees.

The large coastal bushfire has been burning since Monday and authorities are preparing for more ‘very challenging’ conditions.

Hundreds of firefighters are battling a bushfire north of Perth which is threatening multiple communities. The fire is moving in a northerly direction towards the coastal fishing towns of Cervantes, Wedge and Grey.

Authorities are growing in confidence that they are starting to gain the upper hand on a huge bushfire that has been threatening a string of coastal communities north of Perth.
