Bergs collided with Jarry after celebrating a break of serve at 5-5 in the third set, and after the latter refused to resume play, he received a game penalty for consecutive time violations to lose the match.

Garin was passing through the narrow space between the net and the umpire’s chair at the same time and the two collided, with Bergs catching Garin in the eye with his shoulder. Bergs immediately started apologizing and Garin had to receive medical treatment.
