A comedian from Mechanicsburg will host “Saturday Night Live” for a second time next week. Shane Gillis, the star and co-creator of the series “Tires," which returns this year for its second season on Netflix, will host on Saturday, March 1.

Gillis, who was hired by “Saturday Night Live” and swiftly fired after a history of controversial jokes resurfaced, hosted last year, though multiple critics said he “struggled” or “bombed.”
