It took all day, but William Byron won his second Daytona 500 in a row on Sunday. Byron found himself on the lucky side of a last lap wreck in overtime and was able to hold off Tyler Reddick with most of the field piled up behind them for the win.

Since then, Josh Berry flipped and slid upside down into the inside wall in last year’s summer race. In the 2025 Daytona 500, Preece ramped off Christopher Bell’s mangled car and wheelied for several hundred feet before finally blowing over. Preece slide upside down up the Turn 3 banking, into the outside wall, before barreling down onto the apron.

William Byron snuck into Victory Lane Sunday, giving Hendrick Motorsports a record-setting Daytona 500 win. He took the lead after a last-lap crash.

RFK Racing driver Ryan Preece is calling on NASCAR to do more to prevent cars from becoming airborne during superspeedway races.

Ryan Preece is becoming quite used to flying down the backstretch at Daytona International Speedway. After taking a terrifying tumble at Daytona in August of 2023, Preece flipped at the "World Center of Racing" again in Sunday's Daytona 500 in a big crash on lap 196.

William Byron beat a Jeff Gordon record Sunday. He also helped Hendrick Motorsports break a tie for first place in Daytona 500 wins.
