On Tuesday ahead of the NFL Scouting Combine, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid discussed those rumors and revealed his message to Kelce and other Chiefs players after the Super Bowl loss, per Nate Taylor of The Athletic . "At this point, get out of town & relax. For right now, that’s what he’s doing," Reid said.

Some wondered leading up to the Super Bowl and in the last few weeks after it whether Kelce would return for another year. He made it known that he was going to take some time to decide and he has. Chiefs general manager Brett Veach made it sound like Kelce would be returning when speaking to the media on Tuesday.

The Bears won't have an opportunity to land Trey Smith as the Chiefs are expected to use the franchise tag on the Pro Bowl guard.
