Crash shuts down U.S. 131 in both directions in Southwest Michigan
KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI — U.S. 131 is closed for northbound and southbound traffic following a crash, the Michigan Department of Transportation reports. The crash happened just after 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, closing all lanes of travel on U.S. 131 at Shaver Road.

Michigan is proposing to remove a bridge over I-96 in Detroit, shifting traffic to a neighboring overpass.
