LaVine has been underwhelming since joining the Kings via trade a few weeks ago. The 29-year-old guard is averaging 20.3 points and 4.7 assists through seven games with the Kings, shooting just 43% from the field and 26.4% from beyond the arc.

With Monday's win, Sacramento (29-28) created more separation from 11th-seeded Phoenix (27-30) in the battle for the final play-in berth in the Western Conference.

In Monday's game against Charlotte, LaVine became the 4th player this season to reach the 40-point mark while attempting less than 20 shots.
