Former NFL vice president of officiating Mike Pereira doesn't agree with fans who think the league is conspiring to help the Kansas City Chiefs, but wishes quarterback Patrick Mahomes was penalized for flopping.

The executive director of the NFL Referees Association is the latest to release a statement to rubbish the continued conspiracy theory about bias towards the Kansas City Chiefs. Roger Goodell called it a "ridiculous theory" and three-time Super Bowl winner Julian Edelman labelled it as "baloney" and now the head of the refereeing union has also rejected the claims.

Tuberville did indeed coach at Texas Tech, Mahomes' alma mater, from 2010-12. But the quarterback played in Lubbock from 2014-16 under head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Understandably, Tuberville didn't correct Trump while he was speaking at a podium. But in a subsequent interview with Megyn Kelly on Thursday, he clarified that he didn't coach Mahomes.

"A great coach. You know, his quarterback was named Mahomes. He was a great college coach," Trump said of Tuberville on Wednesday.
