Oh! Omelettes at the ready - the actress who plays Gwen West in Gavin and Stacey says that each time the cast come together to film it is like "old friends reuniting". Melanie Walters has played Gwen since the hit sitcom first aired in 2007.

Gavin and Stacey: The Finale will be broadcast on BBC One Christmas Day in a 90 minute episode which will bring an end to the beloved Barry-based sitcom. We're now five years on from the last episode which ended on a cliffhanger with Nessa proposing to Smithy just before the credits rolled.

In the newly-released image, the four main cast members – James Corden as Smithy, Mathew Horne as Gavin, Joanna Page as Stacey and Ruth Jones as Nessa – have recreated the original artwork which accompanied the very first series, 17 years ago.
