As 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3' continues to flourish at the box office, the Sega movie franchise has grossed $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

The Sonic film franchise has now surpassed $1bn at the global box office, following the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 prior to Christmas. The latest film earned over $187m in the US, for a worldwide total of $336.
