Skiers in the women's cross-country team sprint at the Winter Olympics crossed the finish line with an unregistered competitor: an escaped dog.

A husky with lots of enthusiasm but no credentials gatecrashed a women's team sprint cross-country race on Wednesday, giving an impromptu performance that had spectators howling with delight.

Just as two skiers were entering the final stretch, a dog appeared on the course, running after the two competitors as they finished the event.
