The LSU women’s basketball team ran North Carolina Central off the Pete Maravich Assembly Center floor on Sunday, winning 131-44 for its 100th victory under coach Kim Mulkey. In the win, the No. 7 Tigers (9-0) scored the second-most points on the second-most field goals makes (49) in a single game in program history.

The Tangipahoa Parish native Mulkey is in her fourth season back home in Louisiana and captured her 100th victory as LSU’s head coach in her 114th game. Sue Gunter was previously the quickest to reach 100 wins at LSU, doing so in 129 games.

Before she flew down to The Bahamas, Kim Mulkey figured she’d soon learn a thing or two about her fourth LSU women’s basketball team, the one that wound up stealing a win from Washington on Monday, then rolling NC State on Wednesday for its first victory over a ranked opponent.
