Speaker Johnson plans to attach an extension of the farm bill to a stopgap spending bill to fund the federal government.

A group of GOP governors is asking Congress to pass a new version of the massive bill rather than extend the “outdated” 2018 bill another year.

Gov. Bill Lee was one of 17 Republican governors who joined to send a letter to Congress expressing concerns about the “delayed passage” of an updated Farm Bill.
