McDonald's is offering breakfast lovers the chance to get an Egg McMuffin or Sausage McMuffin with Egg on March 2 to mark 50 years since the launch of the famous sandwich.

CHICAGO — Some food chains have announced surcharges to compensate for a nationwide egg shortage, but McDonald’s intends to avoid scrambling its menu.
