An Oregon woman was found dead near Mount Hood last week, along with two dogs believed to be hers. The woman's estranged husband was arrested on a murder charge.

The husband of an Oregon woman who vanished with her two dogs while hiking — mere weeks after filing for divorce — has been arrested for her murder. Michel Fournier, 71, was charged Friday with the murder of Susan Lane-Fournier, 61, who went missing in Mount Hood National Forest late last month, KGW8 reported.

Susan “Phoenix” Lane-Fournier was found dead Friday, Nov. 29 near U.S. Route 26 and East Miller Road, just south of her Brightwood home, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. Brightwood is west of Mount Hood.
