The island In Greek is called Pontikonisi, which means ‘Mouse Island’. One possibility how it gets this name is that if it is viewed from afar the island gets the contour of a mouse. According to a Greek legend the boat of Odysseus was turned into this island by Poseidon. You can reach the island by a small boat which leaves from the small port opposite. The usual price is 2,5 Euros/person for both directions.
